2019 – I-49 Pavement Rehabilitation, Crawford & Washington Cos., AR (Koss #97)
Concrete pavement patching, bridge patching, centerline barrier wall patching, and silane sealant treatment across all lanes of I-49 from log mile 29.05 to Log mile 60.64. Completed by the Special Projects Division.


2019 – US-69 Expansion, Bourbon County Kansas (Koss #107)
Add 2 lanes of capacity to US-69 south Fort Scott Kansas to the Crawford/Bourbon County line. Six mile project included concrete pavement, drainage improvements and new bridge.
2018 – McAlester Improvements , Pittsburg Co., OK (Koss #106)
Paving on US-69 from Peaceable Rd. (EW-145) extending north 0.846 miles.


2018 – I-440, Pulaski Co., AR (Koss #108)
Koss #108 – Concrete pavement replacement, project was located from log mile 6.44 to log mile 10.67 of Interstate 440 in Pulaski Co., AR
2018 – SW 49th St. , Shawnee County, KS (Koss #111)
Koss was the Paving Subcontractor to Schmidtlein Excavating in reconstructing SW 49th St. in Topeka, KS.


2017 – Interstate 80, Cheyenne and Deuel Cos., NE (Koss #96)
Koss #96 consisted of removal and reconstruction of Interstate 80 from reference post 75.43 to 84.64 comprising the stretch of road between Chappel and Lodgepole. The total project length was 9.205 miles.
2017 – Quniter Airport, Gove Co., KS ( Koss #98)
Koss was the Paving Subcontractor to Sporer Land Development in constructing the new Runway 17/35 along with apron and taxiway.


2017 – Muskogee Turnpike, Wagoner Co., OK (Koss #99)
Koss #99 – Concrete pavement replacement, project was located from milepost 0.5 to milepost 9.5 of the Muskogee Turnpike in Wagoner Co., OK.
2017 – Ness City Airport , Ness County, KS (Koss #104)
Koss was the Paving Subcontractor to Sporer Land Development in constructing new Runway 17/35 and converting Runway 17/35 to Parallel Taxiway and constructing Connector Taxiways.


2016 – US-56, Gray Co., KS (Koss #94 & #95)
Koss 94 – U056-035 KA 2216-01
This Gray County, Kansas project was designed for pavement reconstruction on US-56 in the City of Ensign, Kansas from West city limits to East city limits. Net Length is 0.814 miles.
Koss 95 – U056-035 KA 2217-01
This Gray County, Kansas project was designed for pavement reconstruction on US-56 in Montezuma, Kansas from West city limits to East city limits. Net Length is 1.09 miles.
2016 – US-73 Leavenworth Co., KS (Koss #88)
The Leavenworth County project was designed for grading, surfacing and bridge repair at US-73 100ft West of 16th Street North and West to 0.28 North of RS-855 Junction in Leavenworth County, Kansas. Net Length is 8.67 Miles


2016 – US-412 Major and Woodward Cos., OK (Koss #85)
The Major and Woodward Counties project was designed to rehabilitate and resurface US Highway 412. The project consisted of widening the existing two lane highway on both sides while milling and overlaying the existing asphalt pavement with 9″ of dowel jointed concrete pavement.
2016 – AR-549 Benton Co., AR (Koss #87)
Koss Construction was the paving subcontractor on the AR-549 project. It consisted of a large amount of dirtwork before paving could start. The project connected recently designated I-49 with AR-549 at the Hiwasse, AR overpass.


2016 – Interstate 80 Cheyenne Co., NE (Koss #90)
Commonly known throughout the company as the “Sidney Job”, the work on I-80 consisted of removal and reconstruction of I-80 starting just east of the Sidney interchange extending west 6.7 miles.
2016 – US-400 Greenwood and Wilson Cos., KS (Koss #91 & 92)
Koss #91 – Location was US-400 from 1.7 Miles East of US-400/K-99 Junction, East for 2.0 Miles in Greenwood County.
Koss #92 – Location was US-400 from 1.5 miles esat of Wilson/ Greenwood county line east for 2 miles in Wilson County. Net length of the project was 0.845 miles.
These two jobs added much needed passing lanes for these stretches of US-400.


2015 – Interstate 40, Crittenden Co., AR (Koss #86)
The Crittenden County, Arkansas project was designed to reconstruct the PCCC Pavement for 2.02 miles of roadway and rehabilitate six bridge structures on I-40 at West Memphis in Crittenden County.
2015 – US-50, Chase and Lyon Cos., KS (Koss #93)
The Chase and Lyon Counties, Kansas project was designed for grading and surfacing on US-50 from the existing passing lane East of the Chase and Lyon County lines: East for 0.8 miles in Lyon County and West for 0.5 miles in Chase County. Net Length is 1.268 miles


2015 – Interstate 40, Monroe Co., AR (Koss #89)
The Monroe County, Arkansas project was designed to overlay the existing PCCP with 12 inches of new concrete pavement on Interstate 40. The project was 4 miles long, from milepost 205 to milepost 209 consisting of 16 lane miles and shoulders of new concrete surface.
2015 – US-167, White Co., AR (Koss #81)
The White County, Arkansas project was designed to reconstruct 4.980 miles of highway, HWY. 157-HWY. 167 near Bald Knob, Arkansas.


2015 – US-54 Pratt Co., KS (Koss #80)
The Pratt County, KS project was designed to expand this section of road from a traditional 2 lane highway to four lanes to sustain the amount of daily traffic driving through western Kansas. The project limits being only 5 miles long, consisted of over 22 lane miles of new concrete surface.
2014 – US-54 Kingman County, Kansas (Koss #75, #76, #77)
These three projects along US-54 in Kingman County, Kansas were completed in the fall of 2014. The projects consisted of the new alignment of seven miles of US 54. The projects included cement treated subgrade, cement treated base, and concrete pavement as well as many new drainage structures and bridge rehabs.


2014 – US-54 Allen County, Kansas (Koss #82)
In the fall of 2014, Koss completed the reconstruction of US-54 in Allen County. The five miles of four lane included one bridge repair with overlay and the intersecting traffic of US-169. A primarily urban project had six phases with 164 access points including house entrances, side roads and businesses spanning the three cities of Iola, Gas, and Leharpe.
2013 – Interstate 55 Mississippi County, Arkansas (Koss #84)
In July 2013, the Sunflower Division mobilized their grade, plant, and paving crews to Mississippi County, Arkansas to start a fast pace working day project 20 miles south of the Missouri line on Interstate 55. The project length was 7.812 miles of 9” PCCP overlaying the existing pavement on both the north and southbound lanes.


2013 – US-75 Overlays, Brown & Nemaha Counties (Koss #78 & #79)
In 2013, Koss paved a portion of US-75 from the Nebraska line, South to Sabetha, KS. The project was exciting in many ways. First, this contract was let as an alternate bid project taking concrete vs. asphalt. Koss was successful in securing the contracts with a 4” concrete overlay. Second, we were excited to showcase another application of concrete pavement in Kansas, by performing a 4” overlay on a 2-lane highway, under traffic.
2012 – US-59, Finney County, Kansas (Koss #59)
This project was located on US-50 adjacent to the City of Garden City, KS. The project converted the existing two lane road and turning it into a safer, four-lane configuration with an interchange at US-83 as well as an overpass over the existing Garden City railroad. It also included four at grade intersections as well as an interchange for Big Lowe road which is the main access to the local processing facility.


2012 – Hwy 61, McPherson County, Kansas (Koss #60 & 61)
McPherson County line to just north of K-153. This reconstruction / realignment of K-61 consisted of over 720,000 combined SY of pavement. The roadway consisted of (2) 12’ driving lanes, along with 6’ and 10’ shoulders. The driving lanes were constructed of 8.5” NRDJ pavement, while the shoulders were constructed of 6” pavement.

2012 – US-59, Leflore County, Oklahoma (Koss #62)
Completed in early summer of 2011, this project is located in LeFlore County, Oklahoma just south of the Kerr Reservoir Lock and Dam. This project included grading, drainage, bridges, and surfacing on US Highway 59. This was the next extension of the US-59 reconstruction efforts south of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, extending 8.006 KM to the intersection of Highway 9 and US-59. The north bound lanes were constructed in 2010 while traffic remained on existing two lane US-59.
